About Us

MCMA is a non-profit ministry that provides pastors and church leaders with the best possible ongoing training, resources, and continuing education, while giving opportunity to network with one another. You can read more about our history here.

The challenges of the 21st century for local congregations continue to present themselves and we know you need opportunities for growth and refreshment along the way. We've been around since 1953 and we aren't going anywhere! We are here for you. Our conferences bring together first rate expertsie to educate and train ministry leaders with workshops on leadership, youth ministry, childrens minsitry, adult minisry, and almost any aspect of local church programming.

We provide an inter-denominational connection point for pastors of various traditions. In both the formal conferences and more informal networking settings, pastors have the opportunity of developing meaningful, encouraging relationships with one another, bolstering confidence in life and service. All that translates into more effective long-term service to give leadership in the disciple-making work of the local congregation.

Connect here with us for information on our events and services: the Minnesota Church Expo, Regional REKINDLE conferences, Pastors' Roundtable book clubs, Leadership Breakfasts, Minnesota Vespers & Young at Heart, and consultation with Executive Director Tim Johnson. Here you may register for events, find valuable ministry information, share ministry needs, and even keep a blog.

Ministering to a Nation of Loners: INTERCOM - 2nd Quarter 2012

Throughout the last thirty-five years or so, ever since Dr. Dobson became a known quantity on the national Evangelical scene, there has been a great focus on the family in church ministry.  There have been regular attempts to make sure that church ministry responded to the needs of the family.  Both parents and children have been a major target of church leaders’ concern because they form the building block of society…the family.

Spiritually Speaking: Be patient with those who are experiencing pain

I survived my 20th trip to Africa in the last weeks without any apparent physical problems. I had a brief cold for a few days, but even that was mild. I did not suffer from any digestive disturbances, until I got home! I experienced three days of dysentery which forced me to resort to using my supply of Cipro, the antibiotic that I have taken a few times for a cure in Africa, but never in America.
